Zimbabwe announces strong squad against Pakistan Shaheens

Before to the six-match ODI series against Pakistani Shaheens, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has revealed its lineup.

Zimbabwe has announced a strong squad to leave no stone left for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 on home soil, which is only a month away.

Sean Williams, a left-handed player, Craig Ervine, 37, and Tendai Chatara make up Zimbabwe’s experienced trio.

Along with the all-rounders Ryan Burl and Wessly Madhevere, spinners Brandon Mavuta and Wellington Masakadza, as well as the 26-year-old Blessing Muzarabani, and left-handed pacer Richard Ngarava, were also chosen.

Apart from the 14 players chosen for the squad, the hosts would also like to give seven or more additional players a chance throughout the series.

To help the Zimbabwe team in falling into a routine before the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifiers that will be performed in their nation, ZC organized six one-day series.

Only two of the ten teams competing in the qualifiers will be able to secure a spot in the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will take place in India later in the year.

Zimbabwe team members include Burl Ryan, Chatara Tendai, Ervine Craig, Evans Brad, Kaia Innocent, Madande Clive, Madhevere Wessly, Marumani Tadiwanashe, Masakadza Wellington, Mavuta Brandon, Muzarabani Blessing, Ngarava Richard, Shumba Milton, and Williams Sean.

The series will air on Ten Sports, ARY, and Tapmad in Pakistan.
