NADRA Launches Counter in Saudi

Written by

The Interior Ministry has launched a new initiative to assist Pakistani citizens residing in Saudi Arabia by allowing them to renew their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) at the NADRA counter located within the Pakistan embassy in Riyadh.

This move is designed to make it easier for overseas Pakistanis to renew their NICOP without having to return to Pakistan.

The NICOP is issued to Pakistani citizens living abroad who hold nationality in a country with a dual nationality agreement with Pakistan, enabling them to travel to Pakistan without needing a visa. Any Pakistani citizen is eligible to apply for NICOP.

Applicants visiting the embassy for passport renewal must bring their old cards and a copy of their passport.

Previously, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) introduced an advanced ‘All-in-One’ digital identity kit, which integrates cutting-edge biometric authentication features into a single device.

This accomplishment, spearheaded by experts from NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) and NADRA Technology Research (NTR), represents a significant leap forward in digital identity management.
