PSL 8: Jordan Cox to join Lahore Qalandars

Jordan Cox, an English cricketer, will join the Lahore Qalandars team on February 23, the franchise media manager revealed following Tuesday’s post-game news conference.

In the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by a score of 63 runs in Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA).

Against Sri Lanka A, the wicket-keeper batter was playing for the England Lions. The third and final ODI, won by Sri Lanka A, brought the series to a close today.

Shai Hope of the West Indies, on the other side, played his final game for the Qalandars today. West Indies’ new ODI captain is the wicket-keeper hitter who led the team with 47 runs in Qalandars’ victory over Gladiators.

Hope said in his farewell press conference that he liked playing in the PSL because of its high standards.

“My time here was really enjoyable. I had a great experience at Qalandars’ camp, and this event is fantastic. I’m hoping to rejoin them shortly,” said he.

Sam Billings, an English batsman, and wicketkeeper will join the Qalandars on February 25 in Lahore.

Qalandars will now travel to their home ground to play the remaining games after defeating Gladiators in their third game. They have won two out of the first three games in this tournament, they have won two out of the first three games.

On their home field, they defeated Multan Sultans to kick off their PSL 8 season. They traveled to Karachi to face the local team in their upcoming match.

In their second game, the Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars were defeated by the Karachi Kings by 67 runs. Qalandars were left in a bad position after a loss, but they quickly recovered.

They defeated Gladiators with ease thanks to their united effort in the third game on Tuesday.

Tomorrow, Qalandars will travel to Lahore.
