Don’t call me ‘Sasur’ Shahid Afridi to son-in-law Shaheen Afridi

In February of this year, famous Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi married Ansha, the daughter of former captain Shahid Afridi. But with the funny advice Shahid gave, the left-arm pacer shouldn’t call his father-in-law. In a recent interview, Shahid humorously begged Shaheen to stop referring to him as “sasur.” He gave proof for his choice by mentioning how recently he had won a cricket trophy. Particularly, Afridi won the Legends League Cricket tournament. In the tournament’s championship game, the Asia Lions, who were led by him, defeated the World Giants by 7 wickets.

Shahid said to Shaheen in an interview with Samaa TV, “Sasur, tumhare muh se main dubara na sunu (I don’t want to hear this word from your mouth again)”.

“So if he has won the trophy (in the PSL for Lahore Qalandars), I have also won the trophy in Qatar (Legends League Cricket),” Shahid added.

In March, Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen, beat Multan Sultans in a remarkable last-ball victory to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the second time in a row.

The instant Khushdil Shah was run out in the final ball of the match, celebration broke out as Shaheen became the first skipper to ever win back-to-back PSL titles.

The young Zaman Khan was given the ball with 13 runs required off the final over, and he quickly appeared as his team’s star by allowing just 11 runs.
