National Games: WAPDA and the Army win in squash

The 34th National Games are taking place in Ayub Stadium in Quetta, and squash competitions were won by the Pakistan Army and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). In the games’ squash finals for men and women, Army and WAPDA competed.

WAPDA defeated Army 1-0 in the men’s squash match, but Army defeated WAPDA 2-0 in the women’s squash match. WAPDA beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) earlier in the semi-finals, while Army defeated Sindh.

Mehwish beat Hira 3-1.

Aini beat Kulsoom 3-0.

Army beat Sindh

Noor defeated Mahnoor 3-0.

Anam was defeated by Zainab 3-0.

On day one of the athletics competitors, Athletics Army won seven Gold, six Silver, and two Bronze medals to maintain their dominance.

Army athletes dominated the medals chart on the first day of competition following a slight delay in the start of the athletics event. With a total of 14 medals—five Gold, four Silver, and four Bronze—Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) held onto second place. A Gold, two Silver, and four Bronze were awarded to HEC. Both Sindh and the Air Force received bronze awards.
