PMDC Exempts Graduates in Medicine & Dentistry from NLE

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has issued permanent registration certificates to medical and dental graduates without needing them to take the National Licensing Examination (NLE).

A new interactive online licensing portal that is user-friendly and has been launched by the PMDC in addition to the registration process makes it easier.

There were 1,500 certificates issued on the first day. Over 10,000 local graduates are seeking permanent registration, and the PMDC also provides diplomas and renewals in good standing.

According to the PMDC Registrar, Dr. Suleman Ahmed, the council has taken measures to ensure the security of personal data storage and the dependability of the registration portal. He also said that the council has put in place a system for tracking and monitoring applications as well as a secure payment method for application fees.

The National Registration Examination for Foreign Graduates has been made available by the PMDC and is necessary for full registration.

The exam will have both a practical portion and computer-based multiple-choice questions. Dr. Suleman emphasized that the PMDC is ready to respond to their concerns and is open to suggestions from the medical community.
