On June 24, and 25, FBR Tax Offices will work extra hours

To make it easier for taxpayers to pay their duties and taxes, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that the field offices of the Inland Revenue will remain open on the 24th and 25th of June, 2023, with regular working hours.

The Eid holidays will fall in the final days of June 2023, so the FBR instructed the field formations on Monday that the majority of the revenues needed to be collected before the Eid holidays because businesses could not deposit duty and taxes in the government exchequer during those final days.

Therefore, all LTOs, MTOs, CTOs, and RTOs shall remain open on the final weekend before Eid ul Adha, which falls on June 24 and 25, 2023, with regular working hours, as well as until 8:00 pm on the final working day before the Eid holidays, to assist taxpayers in making duty and tax payments. Additionally, offices will be open on June 30, 2023, until midnight.

According to FBR, the respective Chief Commissioners are expected to make wise decisions regarding the opening or closing of their offices on the remaining weekends of June 2023 while keeping in mind the various dynamics of each jurisdiction about objective achievement.
