Starting on March 12, 2023, RIYADH AIR IS SAUDI ARABIA’S NEW NATIONAL AIRLINE.

Riyadh Air, a new national airline launched by Saudi Arabia to compete with regional transportation and travel hubs, makes use of the country’s location between Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The new airline’s operational hub will be in Riyadh, linking the Saudi capital to more than a hundred locations throughout the world. His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), will lead the new airline as Chairman. In addition, Tony Douglas, a former CEO of Etihad, has been named CEO.

 More than 100 locations by 2030

The new carrier, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, is anticipated to boost non-oil GDP growth by $20 billion and generate more than 200,000 direct and indirect jobs.

According to Saudi Arabia PIF, Riyadh Air promises to improve passengers’ journeys while linking them to over 100 locations across the globe by 2030. It does this by providing a great experience with genuine, warm Saudi hospitality at its heart.
