Samsung to Launch a Brand New Foldable Alongside Galaxy Z Series This Summer

Samsung is preparing to join the tri-fold smartphone market, similar to Huawei, but with a unique design strategy. Samsung’s version will include a G-shaped folding mechanism, in contrast to Huawei’s Z-shaped fold found on the Mate XT.

In contrast to Huawei’s strategy, which exposes a portion of the screen, our design maintains the folding display fully shielded when folded. However, Huawei’s handset does not require an additional cover display, as Samsung’s design does.

A new rumor from etnews claims that Samsung would, as usual, launch its tri-fold gadget in July together with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to reports, Samsung will purchase the required parts at the same time as mass production starts in April.

Limited Manufacturing

According to rumors, Samsung’s tri-fold device will have a 9.96-inch main display when fully unfolded, making it as huge as contemporary tablets and larger than the current foldable smartphones. When closed, it will rely on a 6.49-inch cover display for standard smartphone use.

Samsung, meanwhile, is said to have only 200,000 units planned for production. This implies that, like other experimental foldable gadgets in the past, the corporation may first release the device in a few markets.

Samsung’s tri-fold gadget might be a significant advancement in the field of foldable smartphones, since it offers a more robust and useful design than current options. As the anticipated July launch event draws nearer, more information is likely to become released.
