Punjab University To Close for 3 Days

Punjab University announced a temporary closure of its campuses, including the well-known Quaid e Azam and Allama Iqbal campuses, from November 24 to 26 in response to the extreme pollution conditions afflicting the area.

The Punjab government supports this action, which seeks to protect faculty, staff, and students’ health.

Although food delivery services will remain open, the closure is part of an overall strategy sponsored by Punjab’s interim minister, Mohsin Naqvi, which calls for the closing of several public structures, businesses, and educational institutions.

On November 24 and 25, Punjab University will continue its academic program virtually despite the physical closure.

On the other hand, the Jhelum campus will continue to remain open and run normally.

With these comprehensive plans, Punjab University not only addresses the immediate dangers to health caused by smog but also shows that it is dedicated to promoting education even in challenging times.

The university’s response to the environmental issue shows its dedication to providing an uninterrupted learning environment.
