Good news for teachers: The requirement for a seniority number in teacher transfers has been removed, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Teachers now have just 10 days left to submit their transfer applications, with the online deadline set for August 31.
However, due to the high number of applicants across Punjab, the transfer application link is currently down.
The provincial education minister has pledged to restore the online application link today with the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat explained that the system was overwhelmed by the large number of teachers submitting their applications simultaneously.
He reassured that all teachers would still have the opportunity to apply.
