MULTAN (Shoutmeplz) Late on Sunday night, a gas canister caught fire and exploded, killing six people and injuring thirty more.
The event took place close to the Multan Industrial Area in the Fahad Town neighborhood. Very rapidly, the fire spread and burned neighboring godowns. Because of how powerful the explosion was, neighboring structures were also affected.
After arriving at the scene, a police presence surrounded the area.
After a frantic attempt, at least 16 fire department and Rescue 1122 trucks arrived on the scene and put out the fire.
The deceased and injured were taken to Nishtar Hospital in Multan by rescue crews.
Rescue sources said that because some of the injured are in severe condition, the death toll might increase.
