New data from LinkedIn, a well-known professional networking site, reveals the most in-demand professions in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the research, firms in these nations are most in need of workers in the sales, technology, sustainability, and human resources fields. These include positions like back-end developer, sales representative, environmental manager, and human resources operations specialist.
The increasing demand for tech positions is a sign of the region’s ongoing digital transformation and growing focus on data and automation.
Four out of the top ten positions in Saudi Arabia are in the fields of software development, data analysis, and cybersecurity. Similar to other countries, the UAE saw an increase in developer job openings, with 3 of the top 10 positions being in the field.
The numbers also indicate that the number of distant jobs in the area is once again increasing. Declining by 10.1% from the same month in 2021, recruitment in the UAE slowed in December 2022.
The hiring rate was, however, still much greater in December 2022 (37.1%) than it was in 2020. In December, the UAE experienced a month-over-month (MoM) surge in remote job listings of 27.7%, ranking it among the highest EMEA markets, including the United Kingdom (-1.6%), Germany (-10.5%), and France (-21.6%).
