The Pakistan Women’s Cricket League has received strong interest from Nobel winner Malala Yousafzai. With the departure of former chairman Ramiz Raja, she reportedly expressed her desire to the board’s management.

According to reports in the media, Yousafzai has actively sought information from the board regarding the processes and procedures required and has expressed her interest to sponsor a women’s league club. Also, it is thought that she plans to take part in the competition for women’s league teams.

Malala Yousafzai met with female cricket players in a special setting while she was in Lahore last year.

As well Sidra Ameen, Diana Baig, and Tuba Hassan from the women’s cricket team, as well as Eman Ali and Shawal Zulfiqar from the under-19 women’s team, she had the chance to interact with some of the team’s top players.
