PTI warns of Street Protests

Asad Qaiser, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), warned on Friday that the party would take to the streets to defend its constitutional and legal rights.

Former Speaker of the National Assembly Qaiser expressed dissatisfaction on a private news station, emphasizing the party’s plan to stage public demonstrations if establishments fail to address their complaints.

Referring to suspected election manipulation on February 8, Qaiser said, “Once we know that the country’s institutions have no regard for our complaints, we will come out on the roads to fight for our rights.”

His expressions conveyed dismay, saying that the PTI had no option but to think about using street rallies to defend its legal and constitutional rights because all institutions seemed to be compromised.
