Geo Super to Stop Broadcasting PSL

In the case of Geo Super broadcasting Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches without rights, the Sindh High Court has rendered a decision.

According to the information, Geo Super is not permitted to broadcast PSL matches because the court upheld the original agreement between PTV and ARY Group.

ARY’s director, Barrister Ayyan Memon, revealed that Geo Super has requested authorization from the court to broadcast the current PSL season.

Due to a contract breach that barred the private channel from airing PSL games, the Sindh High Court decreased its bid during the bidding process.

Given the court’s ruling, Geo Super is no longer permitted to broadcast PSL 8 games, and any effort to do so would be considered contempt of court.

The PSL rights agreement that PTV and ARY/A Sport inked was taken into consideration during the verdict, which also included the presence of lawyers for PTV and Geo Super.

It is important to note that Lahore Qalandars’ media partner is Geo News, a division of the Jang Group and the Jang Group’s operating company.
