Since October 2023, nearly 1,100 Palestinian babies have been killed in Israeli attacks, according to local authorities.
The Gaza government’s media office reported that 1,091 babies have died in the Israeli assault, including 238 newborns.
Israel has carried out extensive military operations in the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Over 45,550 people, the majority being women and children, have been killed, and more than 108,300 injured, as stated by local health authorities. Additionally, Israel has enforced a severe blockade on Gaza, pushing its population toward famine.
Local health officials reported on Monday that seven people, including six babies, succumbed to the winter cold due to the ongoing blockade.
In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the region.
