PR announces big discount on new train service

According to a statement, Pakistan Railways has changed its refund policy for tickets bought online via the RABTA app and at point-of-sale (POS) counters.

According to the official announcement, travelers who purchase tickets at point-of-sale (POS) counters are eligible for a 90% refund if they cancel 48 hours before departure. Those who cancel within 24 hours of departure will receive 70% of the ticket price, while those who cancel between 24 and 48 hours will receive an 80% refund.

A traveler will receive a 50% refund if they cancel within two hours of departure. Passengers can pick up their full refund from POS counters after producing their original ticket and a copy of their CNIC if a train is canceled or delayed by more than six hours.

Refunds for reservations made online will be handled digitally by the original payment service provider. With the exception of the fact that online tickets cannot be canceled after the train has left, the refund policies are the same as those for POS transactions.

The message further stated that “online tickets will not be canceled when the train departs in less than one hour and thirty minutes.”
