UAE Astronaut Shows Stunning View of Pakistan from Space

Sultan Al Neyadi, an astronaut for the UAE, has been taking stunning images from the International Space Station (ISS) and recently focused on Pakistan and India. Although his quest has primarily focused on Arab nations, he took a detour last month to take some pictures of the two South Asian countries.

On May 10, Pakistan’s Lahore, popularly known as the City of Gardens, was captured by Al Neyadi in an incredible photograph. Five days later, he used his magic once more to capture a stunning photo of Lucknow in northern India.

Al Neyadi became the first Arab astronaut to launch on a lengthy space mission on March 3 as his voyage aboard the ISS got underway.

But that’s not all; he made news as the first Arab astronaut to perform a spacewalk outside of the space station. He worked in the void for seven hours, completing maintenance. He even enjoyed the pleasure of enjoying a surprise cake from his fellow astronauts on his 42nd birthday while up there.

Al Neyadi was recently celebrated by staff at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai for completing half of his six-month mission. They praised his unwavering commitment to science and the outstanding advancements he has accomplished throughout this time.

The fact that Al Neyadi photographed Pakistan from space is extremely unique and a wonderful honor for the Pakistani expats residing in the UAE.
