The Oman national hockey team has come to Lahore to play the junior squad from Pakistan in a four-game series.
At Allama Iqbal Airport, officials from the Pakistan Hockey Federation offered a cordial welcome to the Oman team, which included eight officials and 19 players.
April 8 and 9 will see two matches in Lahore for the series, and April 11 and 12 will see two matches in Islamabad.
The matches are a part of Pakistan’s preparations for the AHF Cup, which begins on April 17 in Jakarta.
The top two teams from the AHF Cup gain a position in the Asia Cup, which will take place in Rajgarh, India, later this year.
competition acts as a training for the Asia Cup. Pakistan is already eligible to participate in the Asia Cup.
