Six newly elected members of the Punjab Assembly made their choice to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday, marking a significant political development that will increase the party’s power ahead of the impending formation of the province government.

The comment was made during a meeting chaired by PML-N senior vice president and Punjab chief minister candidate Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The newly recruited members include Taimur Lali from Chiniot’s PP-94, Ali Afghan from Layyah’s PP-283, Mahmood Qadir from DG Khan’s PP-289, Shazia Tareen from Lodhran’s PP-225, and Sultan Bajwa from Nankana Sahib’s PP-132.

Maryam Nawaz expressed her gratitude for the newly elected MPs’ decision to join the PML-N. The PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s leadership was also praised by the members.

Maryam has been quoted as telling the just-elected members, “With your inclusion, the goal of the prosperity of the people of Punjab will be achieved, God willing.”

She emphasized how crucial it is to steer the province in the direction of prosperity and away from obstacles.

The recently elected members also expressed their congratulations to Maryam Nawaz on her nomination as Punjab’s chief minister candidate, reaffirming their commitment to advancing the province’s progress under her leadership.
