Drama Serial Yunhi’s Dialogue Hurts Public Sentiments

A new drama series on Hum TV titled Yunhi has been produced by Momina Duraid. Sarwat Nazir wrote the script, which is being directed by Ehtishaamuddin. The first episode of the drama, which stars Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf together on TV for the very first time, received positive feedback from viewers. They like the idea behind the drama, but one scene’s heated conversation caused fans to criticize it.

In the drama, Dawood (Bilal Ashraf) picks up his uncle at the airport with Kim (Maya Ali), who tells her father, “I think he is a terrorist,” after noticing Dawood’s clothing, which included a Shalwar Qameez and a Namaz cap.

The public reacted to the scene because they did not like it. Fans claimed that the statement offended many Pakistani who enjoy wearing Shalwar Qameez because it is the country’s traditional dress. Many claimed that Shalwar Qameez is a national dress that Pakistanis take pleasure in wearing and that the scene was upsetting. Stop making fun of Islam, a social media user said, “What message are you sending to our generation? How will our kids feel about wearing shalwar Qameez and a hat after this discussion? Hum TV is shameful. Other than this scene, the drama serial is fantastic, “Shame on the writer’s mentality, pathetic,” said an oncologist. It was written by a girl, “This is a really shameful behavior.” Saqib, a Facebook user, commented: “I might accept this discussion in an Indian movie, but it’s shocking that a Pakistani show is presenting such a concept.” Here are some comments that we collected from the Hum TV official Facebook page.
