Babar Azam Likely to Become Pakistan Captain Once Again

The exciting news that Pakistan’s distinctive batter, Babar Azam, is set to take up the captain once again has surfaced.

Sources claim that Babar Azam would be named the team’s captain by Mohsin Naqvi, the recently elected chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Without any opposition during the polls earlier today, Mohsin Naqvi, who was already serving as Punjab’s acting chief minister, was officially appointed the PCB’s chairman.

For the next three years, he will hold the title of chairman, and Pakistan cricket may undergo some changes shortly.

Furthermore, Mohsin Naqvi was elected as the 37th Chairman of the PCB at the National Cricket Academy.

On the other hand, after a disastrous World Cup 2023 in which the national team ended in fifth spot and was unable to make it to the semi-finals, Babar Azam had to step down as captain of the Pakistan team in all formats last year.

After Babar’s resignation, the PCB appointed Shan Masood as Test captain and Shaheen Afridi as T20I captain. Both players had a challenging opening series.

The Green Shirts lost a Test series against Australia 3-0 before losing a T20I series 4-1 against New Zealand under their leadership.
