Ramadan 2024 expected dates revealed

The anticipated dates for Ramadan 2024 have been made clear.

Ibrahim Al Jawal, the chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society, declared that the Islamic month of Rabi Al Awwal is anticipated to begin on Saturday, September 16.

As a result, the six-month countdown to the Islamic holy month would start, and anticipated dates might be determined.

When is 2024 Ramadan?

According to a statement made by Al Jarwan and reported by UAE Barq, the new crescent moon will appear at 5.40 a.m. on Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16, will be the first day of Rabi Al Awwal.

The holy month will therefore begin six months from that date.

The holy month of Ramadan is anticipated to start on March 12 and end on April 11 2024 based on astronomical calculations.

The sighting of a crescent moon closer to the time will determine the exact days on which the holy month will officially begin.

Millions of Muslims worldwide mark Ramadan, a crucial month in the Islamic calendar, by engaging in acts of charity, fasting, and prayer.

In the Islamic lunar calendar, Ramadan occurs in the ninth month. The Islamic year consists of either 354 or 355 days and has 12 months, hence the corresponding date varies somewhat every year.

Muslims are obligated to fast every day from the first light to the last light. Every evening, the fast is broken with a meal called iftar, which often consists of dates and other traditional delicacies.
