WABetaInfo has announced that WhatsApp’s latest update introduces a GIPHY sticker search feature, designed to help users more effectively express their feelings through stickers.
This update, available on iOS in version 24.17.78, enables users to quickly search for the perfect sticker, even if it’s not already in their collection.
“A quick search through GIPHY might reveal just the right animated sticker to convey their message,” WABetaInfo shared.
The update also brings enhancements to the media viewer, allowing users to reply to or react to photos, videos, or GIFs directly from the media viewer screen with new shortcuts at the bottom.
The reply shortcut opens a text bar for typing messages, while the reaction shortcut lets users choose an emoji reaction without interrupting their viewing experience.
Meta announced that these new features will be gradually rolled out to users over the coming weeks. They also advised users to regularly update their WhatsApp through the App Store or TestFlight app if the update isn’t immediately available.
